6. Management
In its ongoing effort to model practices and behavior that demonstrate responsibility and leadership; and recognizing the international/transboundary nature of energy demand and its associated costs (including emissions, pollution, and degradation resulting from extraction) Pearson College will:
6.1 Continuously reduce overall energy demand;
6.2 Give preference to renewable, local energy sources when energy is required;
6.3 Strive for 100% of electricity to come from clean, renewable sources;
6.4 Reduce total expenditures for energy resources and fuels;
6.5 Measure and report all Green House Gas emissions associated with college operations;
6.6 Seek to achieve carbon neutrality.
