Infrastructure

7. INFRASTRUCTURE

Considering that campus infrastructure is part of the College’s educational apparatus and that decisions made regarding infrastructure changes and choices can have significant long-term planning consequences, Pearson College will:

7.1           Recognize that, in order to achieve the goals of this charter, changes to the campus infrastructure will be necessary and will require long-term vision, planning, and significant capital investment;

7.2           Ensure that all new or renovated campus buildings be designed in such a way as to produce energy;

7.3           Work to develop on-campus alternative energy generating infrastructures;

7.4           Evolve campus infrastructure to maximize the educational potential as living laboratories and demonstration sites to inform faculty, students, and staff about the environmental realities and challenges of stewarding the Pearson oikos.
