9. Pollutants and Air Quality

 Considering that air quality affects the health of CCMs and that the presence of irritants and chemicals on campus could exclude certain individuals from being able to attend or experience the college, the college will:

9.1           Strive to continuously achieve high levels of air quality and to reduce sources of air pollution and actual discharges of air pollutants in and from all College programs and facilities;

9.2           Continue to improve compliance with the “smoke–free campus” designation;

9.3           Ensure that all indoor spaces on campus are designated scent-free areas;

9.4           Encourage the development and use of modes of transportation that reduce air pollutants on and off campus in accordance with the Transportation policy;

9.5           Encourage research, education and innovation respecting air quality management with a view to preventing and reducing adverse impacts on the environment and the economy now and for future generations.
